WestJet is proud to operate a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft,
the best-selling commercial jetliner in history. Boeing 737
aircraft have carried the equivalent of the world's population
(about 6.1 billion guests), and to date, more that 3,900 737
have been delivered to more than 200 airlines around the world.
The 737 family of aircraft are among the industry's quietest
and most fuel-efficient airplanes.
The 737 is the only aircraft we operate, our entire WestJet
family - including our Pilots, Flight Attendants, and Maintenance
Crew - are specialists with every airplane in our fleet.
During WestJet's first five years, we operated only the Boeing
737-200 aircraft. In 2001, WestJet took delivery of our first
of up to 94 "next generation" state of the art new
Boeing 737-700 aircraft. Over the next eight years we will
operate both types of aircraft, while we continue to add new
737-700 and phase out our existing 737-200 fleet. Whichever
aircraft you fly on, you can be sure you'll be treated to
a clean, comfortable, safe ride at the hands of our great
WestJet crew.
