Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort teams up with the Society of Organized Services in Parksville to kick-start their Christmas Campaign with a magical event that helps children and families in need.
Tigh-Na-Mara is asking "If your child was to receive one gift, what would it be?" plus inviting everyone to their 8th annual Toy Drive Breakfast, Wednesday, Nov. 30th from 6:30 a.m.-10 a.m. This magical event is about caring about children and ensuring every child will have a gift to open this Christmas. Anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy or monetary donation receives a free breakfast buffet. Although any gifts are gratefully appreciated, this year there is a strong need for gifts for youth ages 10-18 years.
The Tigh-Na-Mara Toy Drive has been instrumental in filling up the SOS Toy Shop, so that low-income parents and grandparents may shop for free for their children and youth. Last year’s breakfast served over 1800 people breakfast and collected over 1600 toys plus over $10,000 in cash and gift card donations.
Paul Drummond, General Manager at Tigh-Na-Mara, said “corporate responsibility is part of their culture and it’s important to him and his team to give back to the community and help make Christmas special for families. It really is a magical experience and I hope more and more people will join us for our Toy Drive Breakfast and help ensure every child has a gift to open this Christmas.”
The 8th Annual Toy Drive Breakfast takes place Wednesday, November 30th with a full buffet breakfast from 6:30-10 am. For those on a tight schedule, you can drop off your donation and take advantage of the Drive Thru breakfast from 7:30 am to 10 am.
